Art Gallery, Cultural Center, Bert Seides CEO, & Jamie Ellin Forbes: the Ketcham Foundations complex for the arts is located at 90 Montauk Hwy, Center Moriches NY.
The Ketcham Inn Foundation and Jamie Forbes Gallery are developing and organizing a current planned exhibition and event schedule through summer 2016-2018.
Our focus will be within our local community inclusive of but not limited to an out reach program to have a very broad based appeal. The arts showcase will be an interdisciplinary arts program, encompassing: film, literature, poetry, craft as art, culinary arts, music, performance and dance, and visual arts projects, museum exhibitions, aimed at all age groups.
Mr. Seides has developed the deep respect of the historical museum and foundation community during his 25 year tenure bringing the Ketcham Inn restoration project to completion, which opened to the public 2015. Mr. Seides has support from The Robert David Lion Gardner Foundation, as well as The New York State Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation, Suffolk County Real Estate and Suffolk County Parks and the National Trust.
Jamie Ellin Forbes, publisher, Fine Art magazine and co owner of SunStormarts Publishing Co. has directed the FAMILY Museum Hempstead, co directed 4 art galleries, curated traveling art installations, national & international art show display.
Ms. Forbes is bringing her forty year breath of experience in the arts to work with Mr. Seides a life long resident of Center Moriches, with background in architecture, residential and small shop and furniture design who’s expertise includes extensive knowledge with timber framebuildings, including preservation, restoration and rehabilitation. Bert has advised on the development of historic districts, secured town, county,state and national land marking of significant buildings and properties,he has developed a keen eye on all forms of art, architecture and interior design.
